PCBuildAI combines data from the external sources below to maintain component specs, fetch prices, and generate recommendations. The list is kept up to date as sources or license terms change.

Component specs

  • Open Icecat — open, GTIN-keyed product database for technical specifications.
  • Manufacturer and vendor information — manufacturer datasheets and product pages.
  • Public power-supply certifications — e.g. 80 PLUS and Cybenetics for efficiency and noise.

Prices and availability (DE)

  • Geizhals partner program (Preisvergleich Internet Services AG, Vienna) — per-component retailer offers with price, shipping cost, and availability; refreshed typically daily. Offer links are labeled as advertising.

AI processing

  • OpenAI — chat replies and automated checking/naming steps.
