How PCBuildAI is financed

PCBuildAI is free and financed through affiliate commissions: we participate in the partner program of Geizhals (Preisvergleich Internet Services AG, Vienna, Austria). If you click an offer and buy from the retailer, we receive a commission. Your price does not change.

Offer links are advertising and each offer is labeled "(Ad)".

Do commissions influence recommendations? No.

Components are selected neither by the AI nor by the advertising partner but by a rule-based system using technical criteria. Commissions are not one of them. Since all offers run through the same partner program, there is also no structural incentive to prefer one part over another.

Main ranking parameters (§ 5b (2) UWG), in this order:

1. Compatibility — parts that don't technically fit together (socket, RAM type, form factor, PSU headroom) are filtered out, not merely down-ranked.
2. Your requirements — budget, use case, and explicit wishes (e.g. a specific GPU) from the chat define the targets.
3. Price — per component the cheapest available offer counts; cheaper overall configurations are preferred at equal suitability.
4. Technical scoring — performance and feature data of the parts; penalties for technical compromises (e.g. a tight PSU or mismatched RAM speed).

Commission amount, retailer, or brand are not ranking parameters. There are no paid placements; manufacturers and retailers cannot buy their way into recommendations.

Offers and retailers

In the buy dialog we show the partner-supplied retailer offers for a component sorted by price (cheapest first), with shipping cost, availability, and retailer rating where available. Offer data is refreshed regularly, typically daily. All prices include statutory VAT; the current price in the retailer's shop always prevails.

Relationship with retailers

Purchase contracts are concluded exclusively with the respective retailer; their terms, withdrawal, and warranty rules apply. We are not a party to those contracts.
